Next generation personalized artery model in silicone
(Innovation cheque)
Project Partner: Swiss m4m Center
The project aims to develop cutting-edge, personalized artery models using next generation silicone that replicates the unique anatomical and physiological characteristics of individual patients. By utilizing advanced imaging techniques, 3D printing, and high-fidelity silicone materials, we intend to create customizable artery models in a fully digital workflow for use in pre-surgical planning and research.
These models will enhance treatment precision and shorten the lead time of cardiovascular interventions, resulting in improved patient outcomes. The "Next Generation Personalized Artery Model in Silicone" project represents a significant step forward in cardiovascular medicine, offering a new level of accuracy and efficiency in pre-surgical preparation. By creating realistic, patient-specific models, we envision to better prepare surgeons, reduce the risk of complications, and ultimately save lives.

A hybrid clinical trial and application tool for transcatheter aortic valve replacement
(EUROSTARS)
Start of the project: 1 June 2022
End of the project: 31 May 2024
Project partner: ELEM Biotech SL (Spain)
Hi-D Imaging and ELEM Biotech develop and commercialize decision-making support software for patient-specific diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases using data-driven and physics-based models respectively. Despite improved outcome of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) in high, intermediate and low-risk patients with severe aortic stenosis and aortic regurgitation, some individuals exhibit less clinical improvement post-TAVI.
Making use of the synergy between companies, it is aimed to develop a novel medical device performance analysis tool to optimize the total product life cycle of TAVIs.
